Children & Teachers

Recognising that children and teenagers are at most risk of contracting meningitis, we have developed a number of resources for youngsters, teachers, parents and child carers.

Early Years Guide (Click on the cover to download the PDF)
 Early Years Cover

“Understanding Meningitis - a guide for early years practitioners” is a free information pack. It provides practical guidance on what to do if there is a case of meningitis in an early years setting. It also contains information about signs and symptoms, treatment with antibiotics and prevention with vaccines.

If you would like a copy of the guide, please email:
eolas@meningitis-trust.ie  or call 01 276 4269.

Early Years Practitioners who have used the guide say: "I think it is well laid out.  It contains the information needed in the right capacity.... the drawings on it give it that special touch."

" A wonderful resource to enhance the knowledge and understanding of staff and parents. Many thanks. "
