Conference 2010
The Meningitis Trust hosted an Aftercare & After-effects Conference -Living with the impact of meningitis and meningococcal septicaemia at Chartered Accountants House, 47- 49 Pearse Street, Dublin 2 on the 20th October 2010.
This full day conference was a free event and aimed to consider the wide range of outcomes of meningitis and meningococcal septicaemia and highlight the importance of specialist support in helping those affected to rebuild their lives.
The conference was attended by a wide range of professionals involved in helping people affected by meningitis including medical staff, nurses from many areas, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, teachers andsocial workers.

Special thanks to our supporters, Tracy McGuigan, Cian Murphy and John McGuinness TD who shared their experiences on the day and to Penny Dwyer who unfortunately couldn’t join us but whose story was also shared.
