Forget your worries, chill out and relax - and Get Mellow! Join us for this year's Meningitis Trust Mellow Yellow fundrasing event during October and November. Have fun, and raise funds for a worthy cause!

During October and November, we invite staff to banish the Winter blues, brighten up their working day, and support people throughout Ireland who are affected by meningitis. But you can Get Mellow Go Yellow at any time!

What you do is entirely up to you – as long as it has a yellow theme! You can organise a ‘dress down’ day, wear yellow tee-shirts, yellow ties, even yellow hats! Or choose your event from our ‘Mellow Yellow Fun’ list in our information pack.

Ask everyone who takes part to give a small donation (we suggest €3 per person). Maybe your company’s management would join in and match what you raise?

Getting started is simple. Your free ‘Mellow Yellow’ information pack includes event ideas, food and drink recipes and details of the special prize you can win, - just complete the Mellow Yellow Fun Form, or email us on eolas@meningitis-trust.ie or call 01 2764269/090 6450531.

After the event simply send your money to us with your name, address, company name and contact details

•By cheque to PO Box 102, Bray, Co Wicklow
•By directly lodging to our bank account in Bank of Ireland, Donnybrook, Dublin 4
Account number 74633302, Sort Code 90 10 87
(make sure you put your company details on the lodgement slip so we can thank you)
•Or lodge online at www.mycharity.ie

Meningitis can strike in an instant, but its impact can last a lifetime. The Meningitis Trust supports survivors who are struggling to cope with devastating after-effects, and families facing life without a loved one. While children are most at risk - meningitis kills more under-5 year olds than any other infectious disease - adults get it too. It could affect you, or someone in your family, community or workplace. If that happens, we will be there to support you too.

We offer a range of services nationwide, including free counselling and advice, a 24-hour nurse-led Helpline 1800 523 196 and home visits by qualified nurses. Early diagnosis of meningitis can affect the outcome for patients, so education and awareness are also priorities for us.

The reality however, is that once again this year, the Trust has received NO statutory government funding for our work. This means that we rely almost entirely on the public, and the support of companies like yours, to ensure that those who come to us for support, or call the Helpline for advice, get the help they need.

By choosing to ‘Get Mellow, Go Yellow’, you and your colleagues will be making a difference to your own lives for one day, and to the lives of many others for years to come.

If you can’t take part in ‘Get Mellow Go Yellow’ but would still like to help the vital work of the Meningitis Trust, please send us a donation simply phone (01) 276 4269 or log on to www.mycharity.ie
