Recognising that children and teenagers are at most risk of contracting meningitis, we have developed a number of resources for youngsters, teachers, parents and child carers which include
| Teachers Handbook Meningitis - Education for All Our Teachers Handbook, ‘Education For All’ has been put together to help answer questions and concerns if a case of meningitis or meningococcal septicaemia happens in the school environment. Written with all ages in mind from the youngest to the oldest pupil, including staff, this handbook will help to give you information on the signs and symptoms of the illness. What to do if there is a case in your school/college. How and where to get help and support, plus covering the type of questions that may occur from concerned pupils, staff and parents. The handbook also gives information on how your school might like to support the work of the Meningitis Trust. |

The Learning Pod - for Secondary pupils www.meningitis-learning.org/pod Students can learn detailed information about meninggitis through quizzes, animations and downloadable worksheets. Teachers www.meningitis-learning.org/parents-teachers Primary and Secondary teachers can access further information about the website as well as downloading appropriate worksheets. The content of the website has been mapped to the National Curriculum in the UK and is recognised by Curriculum Online and the National Grid for Learning.
