What is a Toddle Waddle?
Toddle Waddle is a fun sponsored walk for young children and their parents, teachers and carers.

Why hold a Toddle Waddle
The main reason to hold a Toddle Waddle is because it's FUN! You will also be helping to raise awareness about meningitis, and much-needed funds for support services including play therapy, family days, community nurse services and the 24 hour helpline (1800 523 196).

Toddle Waddle Prizes
Every group that raises €600 or more will automatically be entered into our main prize draw to win fabulous educational equipment, kindly sponsored by Jaggo Ltd. The prize, worth over €500, would be a welcome addition to any creche or classroom. The blocks are recommended by the NCCA for Module 4 (Exploring and Thinking) of the Aistear childhood curriculum programme, and suitable for use with Junior and Senior infant classes in Primary schools.

Learning while having fun
When you register for your Toddle Waddle, we'll send you your organiser's pack. As well as lots of fun stuff like masks, stickers, song sheets and balloons, and information about how to win a prize, the pack also contains really useful information about meningitis.
Children are the group who are most at risk from meningitis, and it is the disease that most parents fear. Knowing the symptoms CAN save lives, and in your pack you will find enough symptoms cards for every family taking part in your Toddle Waddle. If you need more, just let us know. We've also included a free symptoms poster - by displaying it, you will be taking another step in the fight against meningitis. And small steps can lead to big changes.

When does a Toddle Waddle take place?
October is Toddle Waddle month, when thousands of youngsters toddle, waddle and have fun all across Ireland. However, you can organise your event at another time of the year if it is more convenient.

Where does a Toddle Waddle take place?
The beauty of a Toddle Waddle is that you have control over where it is held. It could be in the local park, your children’s creche, in your local leisure centre, as part of a sports day or even in your living room. It is a great way for children to help children in a fun and exciting way.
